The most common request Grandpa has received from customers was: what about a wooden toy train. It wasn’t long until Grandpa added this sweet wooden toy train to his small vehicle collection. Grandpa’s Toys small wooden vehicles are an excellent option for your small children. The Wooden Toy Trains designed with smooth edges and convenient window holes for small hands to easily manipulate and grip. They also sit comfortably on the back of one of Grandpa’s Flatbed trailers.

Specs of Wooden toy train

Grandpa uses premium grade radiata pine with Merbau timber wheels to build his quality wooden toys. Each tractor is given two coats of polyurethane for protection.  The wooden toy tractor is the following dimensions 190mm (L) x 105mm (W) x 80mm (H). The wooden toy train weighs about 250grams. As wood is a natural product and each truck is handmade there may be slight variations in colour and shape.

Personalised Engraving Option

For a small fee, we can engrave on the sides of your small vehicle. Another option for personalisation for wooden toy trains is personalised number plates. Number plates are engraved on a two-tone industrial plastic and can be done on a variety of colours. The example of colours available can be viewed on our materials page under the colour chart for industrial plastics. Engraving details for personalised options can be added to the text boxes available. Personalised tractors require approximately 15 business days (three weeks)  to complete prior to dispatch.

Lead Times and Dispatch

For standard items without any personalisation, our lead time is 7-10 business days. Items with personalisation can take approximately 15 business days (3 weeks). Once an order is posted it is up to Australia Post or the courier for delivery.

We are aware some customers may require their items done in a quick time frame. For these situations, we do offer a Rush Lead time which is 5-7 business days for Grandpa’s Toys Items. Customers who select Rush will be bumped up the queue in order to have their items completed quicker.

We are always working to keep our postage price low while ensuring your order arrives safe and secure. We currently ship with Australia Post or Courier depending on the size of the package. Some locations are not serviced by our courier and are considered Rural so a surcharge may apply. If you would like to check your location, please contact us.
